How Cartouche handles your information

Last updated 8 July 2026

The short version. This is a coming-soon page. If you join the waitlist, we keep your email so we can tell you when Cartouche opens, and we measure interest in our ads. We don't take payments, and we never sell your data. Questions? contact@cartouchebooks.com.

Who we are

Cartouche is a legacy-book service by Altoria Digital, a company currently being formed. Until incorporation is complete, Cartouche is run by its founder, who is responsible for your information and is your point of contact. For anything about your data, write to contact@cartouchebooks.com.

What we collect, and why

Waitlist details. When you reserve a place, we collect your email address and who the book is for. We use this only to let you know when Cartouche opens and to understand our early audience. Our basis is your consent — you chose to send the form.

Interest signals. When you click a price button or join the waitlist, we record the action so we can measure demand. If you arrived from one of our ads, the Meta (Facebook) pixel notes the event so we can tell which ads work. This may involve cookies set by Meta.

No payment data. Payment is not live on this page, so we never ask for or store card details.

Who we share it with

Only the tools that make this page run:

  • Supabase — stores the waitlist and event data on our behalf.
  • Meta Platforms (Facebook, Instagram) — receives advertising events through the Meta pixel, so we can measure our ads.

That is the whole list. We never sell your information.

How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist details until we launch and invite you — or until you ask us to remove them, whichever comes first. Aggregate interest data is kept so we can understand demand over time.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information, or to leave the waitlist, at any time — just email contact@cartouchebooks.com and we'll take care of it promptly.

US state privacy rights. Using the Meta pixel to measure our ads counts as "sharing" your information for targeted advertising. Our pixel is off by default — it runs only if you accept cookies, so if you decline (or simply don't accept), nothing is shared with Meta. If you live in California — or another US state with similar rights — you can also opt out any time by emailing us or by declining cookies. We never sell your information for money, and you can block the pixel entirely through your browser or ad-blocker settings.

Cookies

The Meta pixel may set cookies to measure ad performance, and it only runs if you accept when you first arrive. We don't use cookies for anything else, and you can change your choice anytime with at the bottom of any page.

Children

This page isn't meant for anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
